The ICC established a new category for CFMs who have special circumstances that require a period of not working in the faciltiy management profession. The category would be Inactive. The rules established by the ICC for this new category are as follows: - A formal application must be made to go inactive. And administrative fee ($50) will be charged (this fee does not apply to individuals who are ill or unemployed). - Formal application must be made to reactivate the CFM. In order to be reinstated, the applicant has 3 years from the application date to submit a normal recertification package. The package may be submitted earlier at the time that 120 maintenance points have been accumulated.
